Hall of Fame Rookie Card Detail
Hank Aaron

Hank Aaron Career Statistics
(from baseball-reference.com)
HOF Year: 1982
First Year in MLB: 1954 HOF Category: Player
Last Year in MLB: 1976 HOF Electing Group: Baseball Writers
The earliest card ever produced picturing Henry Aaron was issued during 1952 as part of a postcard set picturing members of the Indianapolis Clowns. Another very tough to find early Aaron appearance comes in the 1954 Spic & Span set picturing members of the Milwaukee Braves. Similarly, Hank Aaron also appears in another very scarce regional issue of 8 x 10-inch black and white portraits produced in 1954 by Marshall Merrell and also picturing members of the Milwaukee Braves. Although it is not his earliest card appearance, the 1954 Topps Hank Aaron card represents his first mainstream card set issue. One other Aaron card which was also produced during 1954 is a regionally issued Johnston Cookies Braves card.
